The following is a video game review from my son Agent Tony. Enjoy.
Amazon Blurb for Playstation 4:
London, 1868. The Industrial Revolution unleashes an incredible age of invention, transforming the lives of millions with technologies once thought impossible. Opportunities created during this period have people rushing to London to engage in this new world, a world no longer controlled by kings, emperors, politicians, or religion, but by a new common denominator: money.
Not everyone is able to enjoy the benefits of this boom, however. Despite fueling the engine of the British Empire, workers’ lives are little more than legalized slavery while the top few percent profit from their labor. Living poor and dying young, the lower class unite in protest as a new kind of family, gangs, who turn to a life in the underworld in their struggle to survive. A struggle, until watchful Assassins come to their side and re-ignite an age-old conflict involving London’s leaders that will echo throughout modern history, from the underground up.
The point of the game is to stop the Templar from ruling London. The Templar use child labor and control every factory in London.
The main characters are Jacob Frye and his twin sister Evie Frye.
What I liked
The game has many fun features and better gear. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is more fun than the last games such as Unity, Rogue, and Liberation. Syndicate also has better mechanics and better weapons. For example, in Unity, you could not drive or use a grapple (a grapple is something that pulls you up. Kinda like a rope). In Syndicate, you can drive a carriage and use a grapple.
There are also gang wars and gang hideouts that are really fun. And you can lead your gang as the main character.
There are also fight clubs which are really fun.
The game references history where you can help Charles Darwin build things for science and help retrieve some of the missing parts of his work. I’m looking forward to playing the upcoming downloadable content because Sherlock Holmes and Jack The Ripper will be in the game.
What I didn’t Like
I did not like the glitches. Sometimes I’d fall through the floor and keep on falling for a few minutes before I’d die. Then I was stuck in a boat, and I went out of range of the game before I died.
I ALSO DIDN’T LIKE HOW you had to find little mini collectibles that are impossible to find unless you look it up on the internet.
There are no black people in the game, but there is an Indian named Henry Green who was an assassin. Then there was an Indian king who had to move to London to be protected by Britain. He was a good guy.
Do I think it was worth the price? Yes. So far its best game in the series and I’ve played them all.
